Given :

⬤ 4 , x , 32 and 40 are in Proportion .

To Find :

⬤ Value of x .

Formula Used :

\bf[\:{Product\:of\: Extremes = Product\:of\:Means}\:]

Solution :

4 : x :: 32 : 40

Product of Extremes = Product of Means

(4 × 40) = (x × 32)

x = 4 × 40/32

x = 160/32

x = 5

Therefore , The Value of x is 5.

Option a) 5 is Correct .

4 : x :: 32 : 40

Product of Extremes = Product of Means

  • (4 × 40) = (x × 32)
  • x = 4 × 40/32
  • x = 160/32
  • x = 5

Therefore , The Value of x is 5.

Option a) 5 is Correct .
