3x - 5y = 1 \\ y =  \frac{1 - 3x}{ - 5} ...(1) \\ 5x + 2y = 19 \\ y =  \frac{19 - 5x}{2} ...(2) \\ from \: (1) \:  \: and \:  \: (2) \\  \frac{1 - 3x}{ - 5}  =  \frac{19 - 5x}{2}  \\  - 95 + 25x = 2 - 6x \\ 31x = 97 \\  \to \: x =  \frac{97}{31}  \\ 3 \frac{97}{31}  - 5y = 1 \\ 291 - 155y = 31 \\  - 155y =  - 260 \\  \to \: y =  \frac{52}{31}
