 \frac{x}{2}  -  \frac{x}{4}  = x - 9 \\  \frac{x}{2}  -  \frac{x}{4}  - x  =  - 9\\  \frac{2x - x - 4x }{4}  =  - 9 \\  \frac{ - 3x}{4}  =  - 9 \\  - 3x = 4 \times  ( - 9) \\  - 3x =  - 36 \\ x =  \frac{ - 36}{ - 3}  \\ x = 12

If we put x = 12 , then it satisfies the equation.
