Answer: 2.5

We can substitute the value of x in the equation to get the value of y

-5y = 2x

-5y = 2(-1)

-5y = -2

We can now cancel off the negative signs since there are positive sign on both thr sides

5y = 2

y = 5/2

y = 2.5

Therefore the value of y is 5/2 or 2.5

Hope this was helpful

Hopfully you got the concept

Answer:

y = -2/5

x = 5/2

Step-by-step explanation:

x = -1

-5y = 2x

-5y = 2 * (-1 )

-5y = -2

y = -2/5

y = -1

-5y = 2x

-5 * (-1) = 2x

= 5 = 2x
