Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

(0.5)³+(0.4)³+(-0.9)³

To find :-

Find the value of (0.5)³+(0.4)³+(-0.9)³ ?

Solution :-

Given that :

(0.5)³+(0.4)³+(-0.9)³

It is in the form of a³+b³+c³

Where , a = 0.5 , b= 0.4 and c = -0.9

And

a + b + c = 0.5+0.4+(-0.9)

=> a+b+c = 0.9-0.9

=> a+b+c = 0

We know that

If a + b + c = 0 then a³ + b³ + c³ = 3abc

We have

(0.5)+(0.4)+(-0.9) = 0 then

(0.5)³+(0.4)³+(-0.9)³ = 3(0.5)(0.4)(-0.9)

=> - 0.54

Therefore, (0.5)³+(0.4)³+(-0.9)³ = - 0.54

Answer :-

The value of (0.5)³+(0.4)³+(-0.9)³ is -0.54

Check :-

(0.5)³ = 0.5×0.5×0.5 = 0.125

(0.4)³ = 0.4×0.4×0.4 = 0.064

(-0.9)³ = -0.9×-0.9×-0.9 = - 729

Now ,

(0.5)³+(0.4)³+(-0.9)³

=> (0.125)+(0.064)+(-0.729)

=> 0.189-0.729

=> - 0.540

=> -0.54

Verified the given relation in the given problem.

Used formulae:-

  • If a + b + c = 0 then a³ + b³ + c³ = 3abc
