The valvular regurgitation may be due to secondary stretching of mitral valve annulus, degenerative fibrotic thickening, rupture of chordae tendineae, endocarditis, prolapse of valve leaflets and it may be congenital: valvular dyslpasia. Predisposing factors, bacterial endocarditis, eccentric cardiac hypertrophy of horse exercise can mildly increase severity of valve regurgitation.
