Solution :-

As per the given data ,

  • Vapor density of gas = 22

we know that ,

➝ Vapor density = Molar mass / 2

☆ Carbon dioxide ( CO2)

➝ Molar mass = C + 2 O

➝ Molar mass = 12 + 2 x 16

➝ Molar mass = 12 + 32

➝ Molar mass = 44 g

➝ Vapor density = 44 / 2

➝ Vapor density = 22 g

☆ Nitrous oxide  ( N2O)

➝ Molar mass = 2N + O

➝ Molar mass = 2 x 14 + 16

➝ Molar mass = 28 + 16

➝ Molar mass = 44 g

➝ Vapor density = 44 / 2

➝ Vapor density = 22 g

☆ Propane ( C3H8)

➝ Molar mass = 3C + 8 H

➝ Molar mass = 3 x 12 + 8

➝ Molar mass = 36 + 8

➝ Molar mass = 44 g

➝ Vapor density = 44 / 2

➝ Vapor density = 22 g

☆ Methane ( CH4  )

➝ Molar mass = C + 4 H

➝ Molar mass = 12 + 4

➝ Molar mass = 16

➝ Molar mass = 16 g

➝ Vapor density = 16 / 2

➝ Vapor density = 8 g

The answer is 4
