The variable x varies directly as y
=> x = ky
y = 28 => x = 4/7
4/7 = k 28
=> 1/7 = k (7)
=> k = 1/49
x = (1/49)y
=> y = 49x
x = 14
=> y = 49(14)
=> y = 686
