The variation of velocity of a particle moving along a straight line in a certain time interval is
shown below. What is the displacement of the object during acceleration?

For this question we will use the second equation of motion! After finding the acceleration.

Initial velocity (u) = 0m/s

Final velocity (v)  = 8m/s

Time (t) = 4 sec

Acceleration (a) = (v - u)/t

                          = (8 - 0)/4

                         = 2m/s^2

Now finding the displacement (s) -

s = ut + 1/2 x a x t^2

s = 0 + 1/2 x 2 x 4^2

s = 0 + 16

s = 16 m
