The varna system is followed in our country since the later vedic age.Do you think this system disrupts the sense of equality?why/why not

Yes, this does disrupts the sense of equality. The shudras or the dalits, because they belong to low varnas, were treated very badly. They were neither allowed to go in the colony's where the people from high varnas lived, nor they were allowed to draw water from the public wells. They were considered untouchables and were only given the occupations to clean the streets, toilets and other bad works were given to them. Touching them accidentally or intentionally was considered becoming impure. This was probably very injustice and discriminatory for them and hence disrupts the sense of equality.
