Yes varna system is still prevailing in india as the old superstitious beliefs had not gone still from india. Their are many states who still believe on this varna system.Even if we fell bad we have to follow them as our forefathers had followed them and that is a religious believe that i think cannot be erased.But now-a-days their are very less people following the cast system.In olden days the society was mainly divided into four varnas i.e-brahmin,khatriyas,vaishyas and shudras.The brahmins were highly respected and shudras had a very bad condition in the society. In young India we can say that only 1 % castesim is going one.So we can say that varna system is still prevaling as all the 4 varnas are working together for a better India.
