The velocity and acceleration of a particle at time t = 0 are u⃗⃗ = (2î + 3ĵ)
m
s
and a⃗ = (4î+2ĵ)m
s
2
respectively. Find

u = (2i + 3j) m/s

a = (4i + 2j) m/s²

t = 2s

Using Newton's Lwas of Motion,

v = u + at

v = (2i + 3j) + (4i + 2j) × 2

v = 2i + 3j + 8i + 4j

v = (10i + 7j) m/s

S = ut + 1/2 at²

S = [(2i + 3j) × 2] + [1/2 × (4i + 2j) × 2²]

S = 4i + 6j + 8i + 4j

S = (12i + 10j) m
