By using 2as=v^2 -u^2we haveu=200m/s v=100m/s& s=0.1m(10cm) from here deacc ( retardation)comes 150000m/s
hope u understand.

Answer:

The retardation is 15\times10^{4}\ m/s^2.

Explanation:

Given that,

Initial velocity u= 200 m

Final velocity v = 100 m

Distance = 10 cm = 0.1 m

We need to calculate the retardation

Using equation of motion

v^2=u^2-2as

200^2=100^2+2\times a\times10\times10^{-2]

a = \dfrac{(200)^2-(100)^2}{2\times10\times10^{-2}}

a =-150000\ m/s^2

Negative sign shows the retardation.

Hence, The retardation is 15\times10^{4}\ m/s^2.
