Initial velocity u = 20 m/s

Final velocity v = 50 m/s

Time taken T = 10 s

Acceleration = (v - u)/T

= (50 - 20)/10

= 30/10

= 3 ms^-2

Hope it helps

Gíven :-

➝ Initial velocity = 20 m/s

➝ Final velocity = 50 m/s

➝ Time taken to change velocity = 10s

To fínd :-

➝ Acceleration of the object

Solutíon :-

Using first equation of motion,

 \longrightarrow \bf v = u + at

Where,

  • v = final velocity
  • u = initial velocity
  • a = acceleration
  • t = time taken

 \longrightarrow \sf 50 = 20 + a(10)

 \longrightarrow \sf 50 - 20 = 10a

 \longrightarrow \sf 30 = 10a

 \longrightarrow \sf a =   \cancel\frac{30}{10}  \\

 \longrightarrow \boxed{ \bf a = 3 {ms}^{ - 2} }

Hence , acceleration of the object is 3m/s²
