The velocity of car, moving in the direction of the + x axis, at any time ‘t’ is

given by v = (60 + 0.5 t2

) m/s, where t is in second.

i) Find the change in velocity and average acceleration of the car in the time

interval t1 = 1s to t2 = 3s

ii) Find the instantaneous acceleration of the car at t = 35. Please give answer with explanation

∆v= 4 m/s

a(avg.)= 2 m/s^2

a(inst.)= 35 m/s^2
