The velocity of light in air is 3 x 10^8 m/s and velocity while travelling in water is 2.4 x 10^8 m/s. Find refractive index of water.​

ANSWER:  

The refractive index of water, μ = speed of light in air / speed of light in water = 3 * 10^8/ 2.4 * 10^8 = 1.36

    From Brewster's Law:-

   

                 tan i_p  = tan^ -1(1.36)

                           =  53.74  degree
