Answer:

The speed of sound is roughly independent of the pressure. Velocity of sound ∝ square root of temperature, hence the velocity of sound is 330√2 m/s

Given:-

The velocity of sound at NTP in the air is 330m/s.

To Find:-

Value of velocity after the given condition apply

Solution:-

According to the question:-

The temperature will be double i.e T' = 2T

Pressure will be Halved i.e P' =  \frac{P}{2}

As we know that velocity is independent of pressure V⇒P

and Velocity V ∝   \sqrt{T}

i.e according to question V ∝  \sqrt{2T}

i.e Velocity V = 330\sqrt{2} m/sec after given condition applied.
