final velocity = 60 km/h

time taken =4 h

acceleration = change in velocity / time taken

a = 60 - 20 / 4

a = 40 / 4

  = 10 km/h²

distance is given by the third equation of motion i.e v² - u² / 2a = S

S = 60² - 40² / 2×10

  = 3600 - 1600 / 20

  = 2000 / 20

  = 100 km

hence the body travels 100 km within the given time i.e 4 h
