The velocity (or speed) of a moving object is given by v=u+a×t, where v is the final velocity, u is the initial velocity, a is the acceleration and t is the time taken. Calculate the time taken t, if v=50 m/s, u=10m/s, a= 8m/s².[ Hint: substituting the values gives 50=10+8t. Solve it for t.]

Given :
- Final Velocity (v) = 50 m/s
- Initial Velocity (u) = 10 m/s
- Acceleration (a) = 8 m/s²
To Find :
- Time (t) = ?
Formula Used :
- v = u + at
Solution :
In order to, find the time taken (t) i.e. the required solⁿ, We'll subsitute the values provided to us in the Question, in one of the eqⁿs of motion. So, On Applying the First eqⁿs of motion, we'll get,
⇒ v = u + at
⇒ 50 = 10 + 8t
⇒ 50 - 10 = 8t
⇒ 40 = 8t
⇒ 8t = 40
⇒ t = 40/8
⇒ t = 5 s
