(i) The distance travelled by the car is first 3 seconds is 2.25 m

(ii) OA and AB represents motion with constant acceleration and zero acceleration (constant velocity) respectively

(iii) Velocity after 8 s is 0 and after 3 s is 15 m/s

Explanation:

(i) We know that in a velocity-time graph, the distance travelled in time t = area under the velocity-time graph upto time t

Therefore, distance travelled in the first 3 seconds

= Area of the first right angled triangle

=\frac{1}{2}\times 3\times 15

=22.5 m

(ii) From graph it is clear that the car moves with a constant acceleration from O to A and then with a constant velocity (zero acceleration) from A to B

(iii) Velocity of the body after 3 seconds = 15 m/s (velocity corresponding to point A on graph)

Velocity of the body after 8 seconds is zero (velocity corresponding to point C on graph)

Hope this answer is helpful.
