Explanation:
Now, Distance-
Area under the slope is the distance if we leave the signs aside.
So in first 2 seconds it 2 meters per second
A=1/2hb
A=1/2 * 2 * 2= 2 m
in second 2 s, 2 m/s
so similarly, 2m
in third 2 seconds, 2 m/s
so it's 2 m again
and in last 2 seconds, the area is a square and v=2m/s
2*2=4 meters.
Total distance is 2+2+2+4=10 meters.
For displacement, take the signs. So it will be +2, -2, +2 and -4 meters.
So it is +4-6=-2 meters.
