a. Car A has greater acceleration as it has a greater slope.

b. The velocity of car B is 15 m/s as when car A is at 40 m/s, car B is at 20 m/s. From this it can be inferred that the velocity of car B is half of the velocity of car A. Hence, when car A is 30 m/s, velocity of car B is (30 ÷ 2) 15 m/s.

Answer:

a) Now, let's look at the graph carefully.

The acceleration of car A would be greater because the slope is greater in car A than car B.

b) Car A is moving at a velocity of 30ms⁻¹.

But, car B, you can see that car B has a velocity of 20ms⁻¹ in 20 seconds.

And car A has 40m⁻¹ in 20 seconds.

Thus, 30ms⁻¹ is halfway between 40 and 20, Then TIme should be double (using the unitary method)

We need to find the velocity of car B in 40 seconds. That would be 40ms⁻¹.
