The velocity-time graph shows the motion of a cyclist. Find (i) its acceleration (ii)

its velocity and (iii) the distance covered by the cyclist in 15 seconds.​

(a)Since velocity is not changing, acceleration is equal to zero.

(b velocity=20ms -1

(c) s = area of the figure enclosed under v-t graph. Distance covered in 15s, s=ut=20×15=300m

Explanation:

V= 20m/s

T= 15s

acceleration= V/T = 20/15= 1.33m/s^2

velocity= distance/time

so distance= V × T

= 20× 15

=300m
