Answer:

Displacement is 4 as area of triangle OAB is 2 and area of rectangle is 2 when we add them we get 4

We should not talk below line triangle only when they ask distance we have to take it.....

Triangle OAB should be seperated to get height it will be easy for u just like to make one right angle the height of triangke touches at 2.

area of velocity time graph gives displacement

let's calculate area of first triangle

A= 1/2× b × h

= 1/2 × 3 ×2 = 3m

second triangle which is below the positive x axis

A= 1/2× 1× (-2)= -1m

third 1 is a square

Area = l×b = 1×2=2m

total displacement is nothing but total area which is equal to 3m-1m+2m = 4m
