I will try to help u
Remember that the quantities having same dimensions can be added or subtracted.
therefore since b is getting subtracted from V, it must have same dimensions as that of V i.e. [M°L³T°].
and now since a/V² is being added to P it must have same dimensions as that of P (pressure; I am skipping how to find out the dimensions of P) i.e. ML⁻¹ T⁻².
thus dimensions of 'a' = dimensions of P*V²
= ML⁵ T⁻².
