Given : The vertical angle of a cone is 120° and its radius 10cm

Take π = 3.14 and √3 =1.732

To Find :  curved surface area of a cone.

Solution:

Vertical angle of cone = 120°

Half of angle = 60°

Sin 60° = radius / slant height

=> √3/2  = 10/slant height

=> slant height = 20/√3

=> slant height = 20√3 / 3

=> slant height = 20 * 1.732 / 3

=> slant height = 34.64 / 3

curved surface area of a cone.  = π ( radius) (slant height)

=  3.14 x 10 x 34.64 / 3

= 1087.696/3

= 362.565  cm²
