Consider vertical angle as angle A = 80°

and other two angles as angle B and angle C as x and y

sum of angles of a triangle is 180°

then,

angle A + angle B + angle C = 180°

80° + x + y = 180°

since, angle B = angle C that is x=y

then angle C can also be written as x

80° +x +x = 180°

80° + 2x = 180°

2x = 180° - 80°

x = 100°/2

x = 50°

therefore the base angles are 50° each
