the vertical angle of an isosceles triangle is 80°. find measurement of its base angles.

base angles are same so let them be x
x+x+80°=180°
2x =100°

in an isosceles , base angles are always equal——(1)
(2)——sum of 3 angles in a =180

.:if triangle name is ABC, & a, b, c are the resp. angles A(vert. angle), B, and C, then,
a+b+c=180 degree
=>80+b+c=180 [a=80 (as per ques.)]
=>2x=180-80=100 [b=c=x (let value of b and c be x)]

=>x=100/2=50
.:value of b and c (base angles) is:-
b=c=x=50 (ans.)
