because the vertical rays are concentrated in one region and the slanting rays are spread in large area, that's why  sun give more insulation in vertical ray

light tries to insulate on Earth then vertically distance is less and slantly it'll be more. So if more distance is there then in order to cover whole distance it becomes thinner that means slanting Rays have less insulation than vertical Rays.

The temperature of the air at a particular place depends on the amount of insolation received at a place.

The amount of insolation depends upon the latitude of that place.

The inclined rays of the Sun spread over a larger area than the vertical rays of the Sun.

. ' . The vertical rays of the Sun bring more insolation than the oblique rays of the Sun.
