Since the base angles of an isosceles triangle are equal, let each of the base angles be x degree.
Vertical angle           = 100 dergree
The sum of all angles of a triangle = 180 degree
100 degree + x degree + x degree = 180 degree
2x degree                                       = 180 degree - 100 degree
x   degree                                       = 80 degree/ 2
x degree                                         = 40 degree
Ans.= Each of the base angles of the given isosceles triangle is 40 degree.
