India’s Viceroy, Lord Curzon, from 1898 – 1905 was known for his repressive policies.
The people of India did not like him due to his repressive policies against the unity of India.
Some of his repressive policies are indicated below: He oppressed the freedom of the press by passing the Official Secrets Act in the year of 1904.
He also passed another Act called Corporation Act by which he curtailed the number of Indians in the municipal corporation.
