The voice of my education said to me He must be killed.

The given line is taken from the famous poem 'Snake' by D.H Lawrence. In this poem the poet describes the advent of a snake in his garden.

The snake had come to drink water. It was harmless and beautiful.

It had come stealthily in the hot afternoon to quench its thirst.

The poet stood still watching the snake drink its feel. He stood admiring the beauty of the snake.

It was all of of a sudden that the voice of his Education woke him up from his trance of watching the snake.

It reminded him of the evil image taught to him of a snake. His education always taught him that snakes are harmful and are associated with the devil .

It is then that the voice of his education urged him to kill the snake. He was forced to hit the snake for the sake of his learning.
