The voltage of mains across the outlets of this house is 220 V. An iron is connected across one of the outlets. The iron is formed of three resistors of respective resistances R1 = 32 Ω, R2 = 20 Ω, and R3 = 30 Ω. The iron can function for two different uses, at maximum energy to iron (cotton-liner), at minimum energy to iron (wool-silk) according to the following circuit.

1. First use: K is closed

1.1. Calculate the equivalent resistance of R1, R2, and R3.

1.2. Calculate the current carried by the circuit.

1.3. Calculate the consumed power by the iron.

1.4. For how long time should the iron be in use in order to consume an electric energy of 1.1 kWh?

Kindly tell..plz
