the volume and curved surface area of a cylinder is 23 10 cm cube and 660 CM square respectively find the base radius and height.

Solution

volume=2310cm cube

Curved surface area=660 cm square

v=volume=pi*r^2*h

2310/pi*r=r*h ---->1

Area=2*pi*r*h

660/pi=2*r*h -->2

by comparing eq 1 and 2

330/pi=2310/pi*r

r=2310/330

r=7cm

substitute the value of radius in the formula of volume,

v=volume=pi*r^2*h

2310=pi*(7)^2*h

h=15cm
