The density of that solid will be mass/volume =30/20 = 1.5 g/cm^3 So its density is more than water.Hence it will sink in water.

HELLO THERE,

DENSITY=MASS/VOLUME
DENSITY OF SOLID=30g/20CM^3=1.5g/CM^3
SINCE THE DENSITY IS  MORE THAN WATER,THE SOLID WILL SINK.

I HOPE THIS HELPS U..
