if \: density \: of \: solid \: \geqslant density \: of \: \: liquid \\ then \: object \: sink \\ if \: density \: of \: solid \: \leqslant density \: of \: \: liquid \\ then \: object \: float \\ density \: of \: subst \: = \frac{mass}{vol} \\ = \frac{50}{20} = 2.5 \geqslant 1 \\ hence \: obj \: sink

_/\_Hello mate__here is your answer--

⭐ CONCEPT:-- If the density of an object is more than the density of a liquid, then it sinks in the liquid. On the other hand, if the density of an object is less than the density of a liquid, then it floats on the surface of the liquid.

________________________

Mass of sub. , M= 50 g

Volume of sub., V= 20 cm^3

density of the substance

= M/V

=50/ 20

= 2.5 g/cm^3

The density of the substance is more than the density of water (1 g cm^−3). Hence, the substance will sink in water.

I hope, this will help you.☺

Thank you______❤
