Answer:

according to question,

  1. density=mass of substance/volume of substance

Explanation:

  • 500/350=1.43gcm^3

packet will sink because their density is greater then water density

Answer:

hi mate.

Explanation:

your question is incorrect .

The correct question is,

The volume of a 500 grams sealed packet is 350 cm cube. Will the packet float or sink in water if the density of water is 1 gram cm - cube ? What will be the mass of the water displaced by this packet.

solution :

Given :

Volume of the packet , V = 350 cm cube .

Mass of the packet , M = 500 grams.

Density of the packet = M / V

= 500 / 350

= 1 . 43 grams cm - cube .

As the density of the packet is greater than that of water , thus it will sink in water.

Mass of water displaced by the packet is equal to the volume of the packet times the density of water.

M = P * V

M = 1 * 350

M = 350 grams .

hope it helps you mate.
