The volume of 50g of a substance is 20cm if the density of water is 1g cm-3, will the substance float or sink?

sink .

it's density will be 50/20 g/cm³ which is more than that of water. so there isnt enough buoyancy to keep it afloat.

density of the substance

= M/V

=50/ 20

= 2.5 g/cm^3

The density of the substance is more than the density of water (1 g cm^−3). Hence, the substance will sink in water.
