Mass of substance (m) = 50 g

Volume of substance (V) = 20 cm^3

Density of substance (D) = m/v = 50g/20cm^3 = 2.5gcm^-3

The substance will sink in water, as its density (2.5 gcm^-3) is more than the density of water

(1 gcm^-3)

Hope it helps......

Density of water is 1 gram per cm cube and density of object = (50 \ 20 )gram per cubic cm

= 2.5 gram per cubic cm

Since the density of object is more than density of water it will sink .
