DENSITY OF OBJECT =  \frac{m}{V}
                                     =  \frac{40}{20}
                                    =  2 g/cc
DENSITY OF WATER = 1 g/cc

                    DENSITY OF OBJECT  >  DENSITY OF WATER
                                                2 g/cc > 1 g/cc
so the object will sink .

DENSITY OF BODY :-
Density = mass/volume
density= 40/20
density=2 g/cc

density of water = 1 g/cc

density of body > density of water
2 g/cc. > 1 g/cc

If the density of body is greater than the density of water,the body will sink

So,the body will sink.

hope it helped☺
