the volume of a 500 g sealed packet is 350 cm^3.Will the packet float or sink in water if the density of the water is 1g/cm^3?what will be the mass of the water displaced by this packet?

Mass of packet = 500 g

Volume of packet = 350 cm3

Density of packet = Mass ÷ Volume = (500 ÷ 350) g/cm3 = 1.43 g/cm3

The sealed packet will sink in the water as its density is more tan that of water.

The volume of water that will be displaced by the packet = 350 cm3

And mass of this displaced water = Volume x Density = 350 x 1 = 350 gm

_/\_Hello mate__here is your answer--

⭐ CONCEPT:-- If the density of an object is more than the density of a liquid, then it sinks in the liquid. On the other hand, if the density of an object is less than the density of a liquid, then it floats on the surface of the liquid.

________________________

Mass of packet, M = 500 g

Volume of packet,V = 350g/cm^3

Dencity of sealed packet =M/V

= 500 /350

= 1.428 g/cm^3

The density of the substance is more than the density of water (1 g/cm3). Hence, it will sink in water.

The mass of water displaced by the packet is equal to the volume of the packet, i.e., 350 g.

I hope, this will help you.☺

Thank you______❤
