Mass = 500g

Volume = 350cm^3

Density = Mass/Volume

= 500/350

= 1.42g/cm^3

The packet will sink because density of the packet is greater than the density of water.

Mass of water displaced by packet

= 350cm^3 X 1g/cm^3

= 350g
