GIVEN:

Volume of balloon V= 1000m³

Density of helium = 0.18 kg/m³

Density of air = 1.29 kg/m³

TO FIND:

Maximum load the balloon can lift.

SOLUTION:

→Weight of helium filled balloon

 = v \times p \times g \\ = 1000 \times 0.18 \times g \\ = 180gN \\ = 180kgf

→ Weight of air displaced=upthrust

 = v \times density \: of \: air \times g \\ = 1000 \times 1.29 \times g \\ = 1290gN \\ = 1290kgf

→ Resultant upward force on balloon

 = upthrust - weight \: of \: balloon \\ = 1290 - 180 \\ = 1110kgf

So, it can lift a maximum load of 1110 kgf.
