GiVen :

  • Volume of gold block = 0.5 m³
  • Gold sheet is hammered to cover area of 1 hectare.

To Find :

  • The thickness of the sheet = ?

SoluTion :

Let sheet dimensions are :-

  • Length = L m
  • Breadth = B m
  • Thickness = H m

Now,

  • Volume of the sheet = Volume of the gold block

So accordingly,

\implies L × B × H= 0.5

\implies 10000 × H = 0.5

\implies H = 0.5/10000

\implies H = 5 × (10) {\bold {^{ - 5}}}

\implies H = 0.00005m³

Therefore, the thickness of the sheet is 0.00005m³.★
