Answer :-

  • The height of the box is 3 cm.

To find :-

  • The height of the box.

Solution :-

  • Here, the length, breadth and volume of a box are given to us. We have to find it's height! For this, we will use the formula required for finding the volume of a cuboid, as we are talking about a box.

We know that :-

  \underline{ \boxed{\sf Volume \:  of \:  a  \: cuboid = L \times B \times H}}

Where,

  • L = Length.
  • B = Breadth.
  • H = Height.

Here,

  • Volume = 144 cm³.
  • Length = 9.6 cm.
  • Breadth = 5 cm.

Let :-

  • The height of the box be "h" cm.

Substituting the given values in this formula,

 : \longrightarrow\rm144 = 9.6 \times 5 \times h

 \rm: \longrightarrow144 = 48 \times h

 \rm: \longrightarrow144 = 48h

: \longrightarrow \rm \dfrac{144}{48}  = h

: \longrightarrow  \overline{ \boxed{\rm3 \: cm = h}}

 \\

Hence :-

  • The height of the box is 3 cm.
