The Question should be "The volume of a CYLINDRICAL iron rod length 1m is 3850 cm^3, find it's diameter.", and the answer is

Given Volume of the cylinder is 3850

radius = ?

so by applying the formula

volume of cylinder = 3850

(pi*r^2*h) = 3850   {where r=radius of the cylinder and h = length of the cylinder}

r^2 = 3850/pi*h {where pi=3.14 and h=1m=100cm(given)}

so by further solving

r=3.5

therefore, the diameter of the wire is 3.5+3.5 = 7
