Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The volume of a cone is 1005 5/7 cu.cm. The area of its base is 201 1/7 sq.cm Find the slant height of the cone.

Given area of base = 201 1/7 sq cm

       So π r^2 = 1408 / 7 -----------1

Also volume of cone = 1005 5/7 cu. Cm

So   1/3 π r^2 h = 7040 / 7

Now  1/3 x 1408 / 7 x h = 7040 / 7 (from 1)

So h = 7040 x 3 / 1408

So h = 15 cm

Now π r^2 = 1408 / 7

        22/7 r^2 = 1408 / 7

So r^2 = 1408 / 7 x 7 / 22

Now r^2 = 64

So r = 8 cm

We know that slant height

                          l  = √h^2 + r^2

                                  = √15^2 + 8^2

                                 = √225 + 64

                                  = √289

                        So  l = 17 cm
