The volume of a cone is 462 m³. Its base radius is 7 m. Find its height.

Answer: height of cone 9 m.

Solution:

We know that Volume of a cone is expressed as V = \frac{1}{3} \times b \times h \\
here b is base area. As base of a cone is circle,so area of base = \pi {r}^{2}

Now,the combine formula is given as V cone
= \frac{1}{3} \pi {r}^{2} h

Radius = 7 m

h = \frac{3 \times volume}{\pi {r}^{2} } \\ \\ h = \frac{3 \times 462}{3.14 \times 49} \\ \\ <br /><br />h = \frac{1386}{153.9} \\ h = 9.0058 \: m \\ \\ or\\ h = 9 \: m
