GIVEN :-

  • Volume of cube is 0.125cm³.

TO FIND :-

  • Edge of the cube.
  • Volume increased if edge is increased 3 times.

TO KNOW :-

★ Volume of cube = edge³

SOLUTION :-

  • We will find the egde of the cube as Volume is given (0.125cm³).
  • Then we will increase the edge by 3 times and will find the new volume of the cube.
  • We will compare former and latter volumes and we can find how many times it is increased.

Volume = 0.125cm³

Volume = edge³

→ 0.125 = edge³

→ edge = ³√0.125

egde = 0.5cm

Hence , edge of the cube is 0.5cm.

Now , edge is increased 3 times.

♦ New edge = 3(0.5)

New edge = 1.5cm

♦ New Volume of cube = 1.5³

New Volume of cube = 3.375cm³

Initially , Volume of cube was 0.125cm³.

When edge is increased 3 times , volume becomes 3.375cm³.

Let the Volume is increased by 'n' times.

So,

→ n × 0.125 = 3.375

→ n = 3.375/0.125

n = 27

Hence , Volume of the cube is increased by 27 times, when edge is increased by 3 times.

MORE TO KNOW :-

Volume of Cylinder = πr²h

Volume of Cuboid = l × b × h

Volume of Cone = (1/3)πr²h

Volume of Sphere = (4/3)πr³

★ Volume of Semi-circle = (2/3)πr³
