Given:-

  • Volume of the cube = 343 cm³

To Find:-

  • The lateral surface area of the cube
  • The total surface area of the cube

Solution:-

We know,

Volume of cube = (side)³

Hence,

343 = (side)³

=> side = ∛343

=> side = 7 cm

Therefore we got the side of cube as 7 cm.

Now,

We also know,

Lateral Surface Area of cube = 4 × (side)².

Hence,

LSA of the cube = 4 × (7)²

=> LSA of the cube = 4 × 49 cm²

=> LSA of the cube = 196 cm²

Again,

We know,

Total Surface Area of cube = 6 × (side)².

Hence,

TSA of cube = 6 × (7)²

=> TSA of cube = 6 × 49 cm²

=> TSA of cube = 294 cm²

Therefore,

Lateral Surface Area of the cube is 196 cm².

Total Surface Area of the cube is 294 cm².
